The Northfield Police Department is warning parents about a “game” being played by kids called Paranoia. It is a simulation where kids form teams and try to shoot and “kill” their peers with toy guns. On March 15, 2017 there was a report of this type of activity in Northfield where two young men entered the home of another child. The parents confronted the two kids, but they ran past the parents and upstairs to their daughter’s room. The two young men shot the daughter with a Nerf gun, and eventually left the house. The young girl was not injured.
The Police Department is asking parents to talk with their kids and remind them to be safe while playing and that activities such as high-speed car chases and trespassing are neither safe nor legal.
