The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways is planning the removal and replacement of the Happ Road Bridge over Skokie River. The bridge is planned to be removed in the early June 2017 and will be out of service approximately six months.

The County plans to use the Frontage Road system as their detour route. Frontage Road will be resurfaced in the spring of 2017 from Illinois Road to Orchard Lane in preparation for this detour. More information can be found at www.happroad.com
