Police, fire, and emergency services are fully staffed and that will not change. Your first responders are ready at all times to step in should an emergency arise. The Northfield Public Works Department will continue working as well, but in order to protect both staff and residents, non-essential services such as construction site inspections and meter reading may be delayed. Questions about the availability of these services should be directed to (847) 441-3810. The administrative staff will continue working but mainly remotely. All of our municipal buildings will be closed to walk-in public access. If you need any general assistance please call (847) 446-9200. Staff will either help you over the phone or will make an appointment if the matter is urgent. The doors to all municipal buildings will otherwise be closed. This step is being taken to promote social distancing as recommended by health officials.
