This January and February, the Village Hall Art Gallery will be featuring art created by participants in the North Shore Senior Center’s House of Welcome Day Program and Mind Matters programs. These artists were inspired by the paper cutouts of Henri Matisse and the glass-blown sculptures and environmental installations by Dale Chihuly.
Artists explored their creativity with black backgrounds and neon paper, fluorescent acrylic paint, oil pastels, melted records, and painted paper towel rolls. Entitled "Neon Explosion," all pieces were part of the 2019 annual art exhibit at the North Shore Senior Center.
Please join us on January 21 for a gallery opening from 5:30-7:30 PM at Village Hall. You can also view the exhibit any time Village Hall is open, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. If you have any suggestions on how to bring art to our community, please send them to mdefeo@northfieldil.org.
