Overview

The Foreign Fire Insurance Fund Board meets as necessary and consists of members of the Fire-Rescue Department. All meetings of the Foreign Fire Insurance Fund Board are open to the public.

Per state law, the Board chooses how to spend foreign fire insurance tax revenue that is paid by out-of-state insurance companies selling fire insurance in Illinois for the maintenance, use, and benefit of the Fire-Rescue Department.
